At just 18 years old, he entered the political scene. The Republican Party of Florida on Wednesday named Barron Trump, a high school senior and youngest son of Donald Trump, to be one of the state’s at-large delegates called to officially nominate his father as its candidate for the US presidential election in November at the Convention National Republican Party, which will take place July 15-18, NBC News revealed.

This party convention, a high mass which places the candidate on a launching pad for the campaign, will be held in Milwaukee, in the north of the United States.

A discreet son

“We have a large delegation of local leaders, elected officials and even members of the Trump family”, said the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, Evan Power, quoted by NBC News. The presence of Barron Trump on the list of 42 names, alongside his big brothers Eric and Don Jr, exposes the importance of family in the political dynasty that the former president is trying to establish, who also recently appointed his daughter-in-law Lara as co-chair of the Republican Party at the national level.

This is a first for Donald Trump’s youngest child, who had until then escaped the spotlight. Donald Trump’s three sons, like all the delegates from Florida, will therefore join hundreds of others in two months to formally induct their candidate, after his large victory in the primaries.
