An impressive head-on collision occurred on departmental road 130, near the town of Appeville-Annebault, in Eure. Around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday May 8, a vehicle traveling in the direction of Monfort-sur-Risle suddenly deviated from its trajectory, crossing the center line and colliding with another vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

An impressive accident

The violent impact involved five people, the two drivers as well as the passengers of the two vehicles. Despite the spectacular nature of the accident, initial information suggests that the consequences could have been much more serious.

Rescue teams dispatched to the scene quickly took care of the victims. Of the five people involved, two were slightly injured and were transported to the Pont-Audemer hospital center for additional examinations and treatment. The other three victims were taken to Monod hospital in Le Havre for further evaluation of their injuries. Traffic was restored around 8:30 p.m.
