Following the NHL lottery draw which took place earlier this week, the Canadian now officially knows the rank where he will be drafted on June 28 in the Sphere in Las Vegas.

The question most are asking is who will he draft?

On the other hand, for his part, the journalist Francois Gagnon sees things differently.

On the show On Jase on the waves of RDSGagnon admitted that he would like to see the DG Kent Hughes trade this high draft pick for immediate help.

The Canadian now needs concrete results much more than long-term results through the draft. Could this 5th draft pick this year, which was used to recover David Reinbacher last year, be used to improve the team immediately as part of a transaction? Personally, this is the scenario I would prefer if I am the Canadian.

– François Gagnon

Gagnon, however, does not give an example of a transaction that he would like to see the Canadiens’ GM carry out, but his fellow analyst Norman Flynnhe took care of launching a concrete transaction offer on the air.

Would you also like to see Kent Hughes be aggressive in the next draft and liquidate CH’s fifth overall pick for immediate help for next season?

See the video extract at the bottom.
