Gautier GARANX et Julien NOGUES have the honor to inform you of the reissue of the S3 (Sauveteur First Aid Surfer), on October 5, 2024, at the Espace de l’Ocean in . A day of sharing knowledge on techniques for treating victims with a motorized water vehicle (jet-ski).

This project, carried out jointly by Gautier et Julienwas born on October 16, 2022, following the rescue on ANGLET of a jet-ski boater, by a surf-towed crew then on site.

The objective of S3 is allow the meeting between all corporations and rescue associations (FIREFIGHTERS, SAMU, SNSM, MNS) and surf-towed crews.

“This day gives us the opportunity to discuss our different ways of caring for a victim and provide everyone with the tools necessary to improve individual techniques. This project has aroused collective enthusiasm and allowed us to bring together more than 130 people, last September 30 at the Espace de l’Ocean in ANGLET” emphasized the organizers.

Program du S3

The morning :

Each crew or corporation is invited to a room with the possibility of present their rescue techniques and/or equipment. For this, they have a video projector and 2 VNMs with SLED on trolleys available.

Lunch:

And buffet froid is offered to all participants on the site.

In the afternoon:

Launching of VNMs and implementation of rescue techniques by various workshops organized at sea. Crews interested in techniques can then discuss with their morning contacts and put them into practice.

End of day:

A friendship drink is organized to end the day on the roof terrace of the Espace de l’Ocean.

The objectives for this 3rd edition:

Allow the meeting between new rescue corporations (SNSM, French and Basque firefighters, coastal rescuers from various municipalities, SAMU), rescue associations equipped with a VNM and towed surf crews.

To exchange on the different ways of caring for a victim.

Bring everyone has the necessary tools to improve their techniques.

Feedback and improvements in rescue techniques seen in the last session.

Tester and make new rescue equipment known.

Awareness on dangers and rescue equipment at sea.

Thoughts on how to centralize relief (Alert, communication between actors)

Rates

In order to make safety accessible to as many people as possible, the organizers carry out this event on a voluntary basis. This is why they ask a participation of 25 euros per person in order to finance the entirety of this day.
