The big day has finally arrived! This Thursday evening, Taylor Swift kicks off the European part of her “The Eras Tour” with four exceptional concerts at Paris La Défense Arena. These were all sold out within an hour and fans are more impatient than ever. Some even stood still this Tuesday morning around the Nanterre venue for the opening of the merchandising stands, causing huge queues. In a few hours, after a first part by Paramore, Taylor Swift will show on stage in front of 45,000 fans who have been waiting for this day for a year now. As its name suggests, “The Eras Tour” is therefore a retrospective tour in which Taylor Swift revisits her 10 albums in a concert divided into 10 parts. But not in chronological order. Thus, it is with the colorful hits of “Lover”, such as “You Need To Calm Down” or “Cruel Summer”, that the show opens. Then, given its construction, Taylor Swift will alternate between calm moments (the parts devoted to “Folklore” and “Evermore”) and explosive moments (the hits of “1989” and “Red”…) to seduce the public. And the 40,000 Swifties will be able to shout out to the global hits “Shake it Off”, “Blank Space”, “Anti-Hero”, “Love Story”, “I Knew You Were Trouble” but also titles cherished by fans like the famous “All Too Well” in its 10 minute version!
Note also that his first eponymous album, released in 2006, is the only one not to have the right to a section in the concert. Every evening, Taylor Swift performs two surprise songs from her wide repertoire, one on the guitar, the other on the piano, and the public is also impatient to discover which pieces will be chosen, even if “Paris”, taken from the deluxe edition of “Midnights”, should logically be present.
