For several years, Cultural Action has offered to discover new artistic talents during the Art and Crafts day which generally takes place on Ascension Thursday. This year, 18 artists and creators will meet at the village hall on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the village hall and outdoors. Among them, 13 newcomers who come from Dieppe, Tréport, Canteleu, Gourdon, La Londe…

Demonstrations and various materials

The whole day will be punctuated with demonstrations, furniture makeovers, restoration of paintings, working with rattan, leather, macramé, silk, jewelry creations, plant decorations, lamps… “These artists or craftsmen were met at trade fairs, craft or designer markets in the regionindicates the president of the association, Christine Bonneau. Everyone is unique in their production and the objective of this meeting remains to promote the transmission of know-how and knowledge. »

The art of poetic ceramics

Among the exhibitors, the public will be able to discover the creations of Rosalie Fournier, a poetic ceramist from Varengeville-sur-Mer who explains her art as follows: “I look for the original, the offbeat, everything that allows us to reinvent things: putting poetry into creation and aesthetics at the service of utility to bring something new”. The young woman, aged 34, will exhibit, for example, a series of heart-shaped cups decorated with a brush with a unique pattern.

Giant and miniature flowers

Visitors will also be able to admire its giant rubber foam flowers, its plant sculptures, its miniatures like small ladybugs that can be placed on plants. “When I was younger, I wanted to be a pastry chefexplains the artist, but I preferred to embark on a two-year training course in filming and decoration. I create, I bake and I sell like in baking but my works cannot be eaten. They feed the imagination! »
