The 2024 edition of the Flume et du Meu Trophée Marcel Blot challenge, organized under the leadership of Marie-Thérèse Le Roux, president of the Chavagnais bicycle club, will take place on Sunday May 12, 2024, on the roads of Chavagnaise (Ille-et-Vilaine ).
Well known to the faithful and athletes, the Flume and Meu challenge course will be contested over three races, after Mordelles, the third final event will be contested in La Chapelle-Thouarault.

Many teams from Brittany, Normandy and Pays de la Loire will meet here for the loops. “This year, we risk exceeding last year’s 218 runners, advances the president. This race is fast. A new feature for the challenge, it will be open to the women’s category for all races. » At the end of the race, a trophy will be awarded to the winner.

“A high-level show”

This event will attract many spectators on Sunday. Several hundred people participated in this event in 2023.
The course will form a 5.1 km loop in the Chavagna countryside and the runners will pass through the town, which will allow the public to easily follow all the events of the race. A prefectural decree stipulates that traffic will only be in the direction of the race. It also specifies the parking restrictions which will be posted in the town.
During this day, the president invites “compliance with all these constraints, in order to ensure the safety of the runners. It is necessary to ensure that no animals are loose on the circuit, then emphasizes that“a race of this level can only exist thanks to the participation of partners and the fifty volunteers mobilized to prepare and ensure the smooth running of the day”.
“This 2024 edition will once again be a high-level spectacle”, announces René Bouillon, the mayor.

On site, a stand will offer a refreshment bar, sausage pancakes, pancakes and sandwiches.
