Martin Lemay reacts publicly following his suspension

Earlier today, we reported that the host Martin Lemay had been suspended for an indefinite period by BPM Sports.

The popular host made serious remarks yesterday towards CF Montreal and its owner Joey Saputodeemed unacceptable by the station.

Following the announcement, the main person reacted publicly with a publication on social networks, wishing to offer his sincere apologies.

Good morning,
This message is addressed to BPM Sports listeners, colleagues, the CF Montreal organization and CF Montreal fans.

Yesterday, in the return of athletes show, I made inappropriate comments on BPM Sports. I would like to apologize most sincerely for this. People have been hurt and angry by my comments and with good reason.

I understand the wrongs I have done and I want to apologize for them. I am not trying to diminish the impact of my words, on the contrary. I want to take 100% responsibility for my words. The words I said have no place, that’s all. I will do what needs to be done so that my apology is heard by anyone who may or may not have been offended by my inappropriate words.

To the management of CF Montreal, I would like to apologize as much in this letter as in person. I take 100% responsibility for my error of judgment. I have always had excellent relationships with people at CF Montreal, present or past. I have nothing but respect for these people and I am sorry for my hurtful words.

I would also like to mention that BPM Sports is in no way responsible for my comments. BPM Sports is a young sports station which does not endorse this type of comments. I would like to mention this and apologize to managers and my colleagues for the consequences of my comments.

In closing, BPM Sports listeners and Montreal CF fans, I apologize to you for this mistake. This is a first mistake in my career and I assure you it will be the last.

Once again, my sincerest apologies.

-Martin Lemay
