The Madrilenians are 3rd in the La Liga standings with 17 points to 24 at FC Barcelona, alone in the lead, ahead of Real Madrid (21 points).
In Scotland, Philippe Clément’s Rangers won against St. Johnstone 2 goals to 0 on the 7th day of the championship.
The Czech Vaclav Cerny scored his two goals, in the 34th and 58th minutes on a serve from Ianis Hagi. The Romanian, who came on during the break, was sent off in the 79th minute.
Nicolas Raskin, holder, played the entire match, receiving a yellow card in the 63rd, for the Glasgow team which occupies 3rd place in the standings with 16 points to 21 at Celtic and Aberdeen.
