Andy Murray is racing against the clock to get back into shape before this summer. Injured in the ankle on March 18, the Briton chose not to go on the operating table, even believing that he “not play much beyond this summer”.

In the meantime, the former world number one will make his return to the ATP 250 in Geneva, which starts on May 18, a week before the start of Roland-Garros. The current 77th player in the world has received an invitation from the organizers to join the final draw.

A farewell tour?

Andy Murray, who underwent hip surgery twice in recent years, will celebrate his 37th birthday at the end of the month. The three-time Grand Slam winner could wait for the Olympic Games, which he won twice in 2012 and 2016, to say goodbye to tennis.

Since his injury in Miami, Andy Murray has postponed his return to competition twice, refusing to play the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo then the ATP 250 in Munich. On Swiss clay, the Briton could launch his farewell tour before continuing at Roland Garros where he played four semi-finals and a final.
