A gutted apartment at the top of a three-story HLM residence and debris all over the ground. It was 4:30 a.m. this Tuesday evening when the explosion rang out. With the force of the explosion, the residence sank one floor. Its breath swept away several cars and windows of the residence for the elderly, which was located directly opposite. The report shows three injured, one seriously, a resident trapped under the rubble, urgently airlifted to Poitiers hospital. His vital prognosis is in jeopardy. The residents of the building were welcomed into a village hall, they are very shocked. “We were on the first floor. There was a landslide, it destroyed the bay window. We saved ourselves, we saved our daughter, we tried to leave as quickly as possible. We were really lucky” , tells us Benjamin Croizé, resident of the damaged building in Puilboreau (Charente-Maritime). In total, 42 people will have to be rehoused. The building is now uninhabitable. It is impossible to know what caused this explosion at the moment. The preferred hypothesis is that of a gas leak. TF1 | Report E. Braem, C. Brousseau
