Apple has decided to no longer include its famous stickers in the box of the new iPad Pro and iPad Air which were announced yesterday during a keynote.

Apple Store teams received a memo announcing the absence of stickers in the box of the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. This is not an oversight, but a choice. According to 9to5Mac, the memo says this is part of the company’s environmental goals, as it strives to ensure its packaging is completely plastic-free.

However, Apple Stores will receive limited quantity stickers separately. Employees will be able to provide them to customers who request them when purchasing a new iPad Pro or iPad Air. But if the customer doesn’t say anything, then the employee will have nothing to give. It is not specified how many stickers Apple will give away.

Although the quantity is limited, employees can request more stock. They will then have new dedicated stock delivered.

As it stands, it appears that the new policy only applies to Apple Stores. So, if you buy your new iPad Pro or iPad Air on Amazon, at Fnac or elsewhere, you will not be able to benefit from the stickers, since there will be no way to make a request.

In any case, one wonders if this era of Apple stickers is not behind us. They were already missing from the Apple Vision Pro box. They could also be in the box of the iPhone 16 and other future products.
