The inmate at Luynes prison and suspected of having ordered an assassination in Marseille, leading to the death of a VTC driver, shot dead in his car on the night of Thursday October 3 to Friday October 4, has been referred, announced the public prosecutor of Marseille this Sunday, October 6 during a press conference.
The latter, aged 23, was identified after “rapid and efficient investigative work” and then taken from his cell.
Judicial investigation opened for intentional homicide
The 14-year-old suspect was also referred this Sunday, October 6 in the morning, adds the Marseille prosecutor.
A judicial investigation was opened for “intentional homicide with premeditation by an organized gang, criminal association, acquisition, possession and transport of category B weapons by at least two people”, specified Nicolas Besonne.
The driver, aged 36, was found dead with a gunshot to the head in a vehicle that crashed into the entrance to a school and college located not far from Saint-Charles station.
