The victim whose body was found Tuesday was identified by authorities as Jose Mynor Lopez, a 37-year-old laborer from Baltimore. “Today, Jose Mynor Lopez, sixth and final missing victim, was found”, https://twitter.com/MayorBMScott/status/1788000030588047725 Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott.

Work to fully reopen the channel will continue, Mr Scott said.

The collapse of the bridge led to the blocking of part of maritime transport in one of the busiest ports in the country. A temporary navigation corridor was opened to allow the passage of vessels carrying out rescue and clearance operations.

The US Federal Police (FBI) and the National Transportation Safety Board have opened an investigation into the accident.
