Did you know that the topless has been legal in New York since 1992? Sounds surreal, right? Almost as much as the outfit our Lady of Instagram wore last night, swapping her top for a floral sculpture by Schiaparelli. Legend has it that Léna Mahfouf fell in love with this dress when she saw it in 2022 at the Museum of Decorative Arts, during the exhibition entitled: “Shocking ! The Surreal Worlds of Elsa Schiaparelli”. Seriously, who can boast of crush on a piece at the museum and wearing it two years later at the Fashion Super Bowl?

This stunning look consists of a bouquet of golden flowers but also an eye and a mouth. Very Schiaparelli, indeed. The bustier is so grandiose that we almost forget the simplicity of the long black skirt. So with the right parts, less is always more.

Since, as in fashion, everything is a question of balance, this look would be nothing without the incredible draping in black taffeta, a fairly rigid material which fulfills its mission wonderfully, whether it is to tailor a mermaid skirt perfectly cut or a stole worthy of the greatest Hollywood divas.

In this “Garden in Time”, the red carpet theme, Léna Mahfouf, our French fashion reference abroad, takes on the appearance of a goddess. To say that she is the most beautiful flower in this garden would be too much basic and would not do justice to her outfit which stands out from the crowd. Let’s say then that if she calls herself “Mother Mahfouf” here, there, she becomes “Mother Nature”. And… it’s giving !
