Rapid progress during the night and in the morning

According to Vigicrues, Ouche is placed on yellow alert for the time being, as well as a small part of Armançon. Part of the Burgundy Canal is also affected by rising water levels, but without any impact. We nevertheless note a gradual increase in the height of the water, at the Crugey station in particular, where it went from 0.72 m on Sunday at 10:20 p.m. to 1.87 m this Monday, April 6 at 4 p.m.

For Armançon, the Quincy-le-Vicomte station went from 1.05 m on Sunday at 8 p.m. to 2.56 m this Monday at 4 p.m. The flood level of June 1, 2016 is nevertheless at 3.55 m.

Ouche is now stagnating

As for the Ouche stations, only that of La Bussière-sur-Ouche is approaching the historic flood of January 22, 2018 (the water level was then at 1.61 m). In this station, this Monday at 4 p.m., the water approached 1.49 m in height.

All the other Ouche stations are very far from historic floods, starting with that of January 22, 2018. Thus, at the Pont-de-Pany station, the level is 1.58 m high (compared to 2, 41 m in 2018) and on the Plombières-lès-Dijon side, the water rises to 1.34 m (compared to 2.39 m in 2018).

The trend is also the same everywhere for the Ouche: after a rapid progression during the night and in the morning, the water levels stagnate.

Access to the promenade prohibited in Dijon

In Dijon, with the rise of the Ouche, the City decided to prohibit access to the promenade along the watercourse.

Will the rains end by Wednesday?

We must see here the effect of the latest disturbances, with the arrival of storms and sustained rain on Sunday afternoon. As a reminder, Météonews expected around twenty millimeters of rain Monday morning. At its peak, 3.2 mm of rain fell at 12 p.m. in Dijon, according to the station located between the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy and Longvic.

However, if a few showers may persist this Tuesday, high pressure returns on Wednesday, eliminating any risk of rain, at least for a while. The watercourses of Côte-d’Or should therefore stop swelling, especially since the forecast models, which remained undecided this Sunday, predict clearings for the end of the week.
