English singer and dancer FKA Twigs expressed concern at the end of April about the abuses of artificial intelligence before the American Senate, calling for legislation to be put in place to protect the work of artists. She also revealed that she had produced her own digital double to regain power over new technologies, according to her own rules.

“Twigs” (twig, in French), the nickname that singer Tahliah Debrett Barnett reappropriated to create her stage name FKA Twigs, appears printed in black letters on a white sheet in a small room of the US Senate. The English artist was invited this Tuesday, April 30, before a judicial subcommittee of the upper house of the American Congress, which is working on new legislation on intellectual property.
