A look back at a very lively 8th day on the pitches of the Elite American Football championship with the successes of Rouen and Marseille in particular.
Rouen is crazy! Promoted this season to the Elite championship, the Leopards continue their great adventure. During the 8th day, the Normans gleaned a hard-fought success against the Molosses of Asnières-sur-Seine (24-20). A success which almost ensures the maintenance of Rouen… but which also offers second place in Conference A to the Leopards! The latter are now ahead of the Black Panthers of Thonon-les-Bains.
For its part, the Flash of La Courneuve took a big step towards first place in this Conference A. The Ile-de-France residents made short work of the Cougars of Saint-Ouen l’Aumône (43-7).
Nice returns to the forefront!
Within Conference B, there is always a lot of suspense. The Blue Stars of Marseille remain in the lead… despite a big loss against the Iron Mask of Cannes (28-27). The Phocéens had a very good operation of the weekend, since the Catalan Grizzlys lost to the Toulouse Bears (12-10).
Concerning third place… it is the Dauphins de Nice who are now emerging. The Azuréens dominated the Argonautes of Aix-en-Provence (35-14). From Nice to Aix via Cannes and Toulouse, everyone can still believe in this third place, qualifying for the wild-card match of the final phases.
