The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook Tuesday a request for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, saying “detectives believe the individual seen in these store surveillance photos is the last known person at having driven the vehicle of William Nicholas Abraham, 69 years old. “

“The vehicle was located by Baton Rouge Police Monday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle, at that time, drove away from a traffic stop and ultimately fled after crashing the car,” the post continues.

The Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office ruled that Abraham was killed by blunt force trauma. The investigation has now been turned over to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to an email sent to Fox Information Digital.

“I am absolutely devastated and completely surprised that something like this could have happened to a man who I thought was so tender, so kind and had such a servant’s heart,” Abraham’s lawyer, Jarrett Ambeau, told FOX 8 New Orleans.
