Rodez. All in color, they run for the animal cause

An explosion of color for a good cause. Yesterday afternoon, 75 runners gathered at the stud farm to take part in a Color run. A concept that comes straight from the United States and is attractive, where at every kilometer, participants are sprayed with colored powder. But this one had a stronger symbolism. Since all those registered, by obtaining their bib for €10, paid this sum directly to the Rodez SPA. A natural gesture for the organizers, Karine, Michèle, Véronique and Coraline, students on the Piton in professional quality facilitator degree at Campus XIIe avenue at the CCI and very attached to this cause which is close to the hearts of many young people. Proof of this is the particularly low average age of the runners who took part in the event. Part of a student project, this Color run is in any case a success according to the organizers. “We are very proud!”they declared in conclusion after the race. “Our objective was to bring together 60 people, we exceeded it so that’s positive”they continue.

It was within the stud farm that the participants walked, completing two laps for a total distance of just under 5 km. A primarily festive event, with no stated aim of competition. Some even took the opportunity to run the race accompanied by their dog. And the SPA, having responded to the call, is delighted. “It’s an original idea, which had never been proposed to us, it’s great!”, summarizes Mathilde, director of the Ruthenian branch.
