Saturday October 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Genealogy and History of Pibrac association invites you to an exceptional day around genealogy at the Citizens’ House (MDC), 6 rue Principale. An opportunity for those who wish to trace their family history and answer the question that many ask themselves: “Where are my roots?”
On the program for this day, participants will be able to discover the basics of genealogy. Whether they are novices or curious to embark on genealogical research, they will learn in particular which family documents to consult, where and how to begin your research and, above all, how to create a family tree.
To go further, the association will introduce them to methods to deepen their research in departmental or notarial archives, as well as abroad. Tips will be shared for retracing the journey of a First World War soldier. They will also discover how to organize their discoveries and use genealogy software effectively.
Throughout the day, an enriching exhibition will be offered as well as numerous practical workshops for young and old. This will be an opportunity to participate in fun activities while discovering family history and heritage in a concrete way.
Entrance is free and the workshops are open to all.
