It was around 5 p.m. this Saturday, May 4, 2024, on departmental road 21 between Dompierre and Domfront-en-Poiraie when an accident occurred. A motorcycle collided with a tractor. According to the gendarmes, the driver of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man, hit the agricultural machine.
The motorcycle with two people was traveling in a line of cars with a tractor at the head of the procession and going up the line, the tractor would have turned left as it passed. The two people, originally from the Somme, were going to Mont-Saint-Michel.

A dead woman
The passenger of the two-wheeler, a 56-year-old woman, did not survive. Despite the arrival of emergency services, she died on the spot. The driver is seriously injured. The man driving the tractor was unhurt. Five gendarmerie crews were dispatched to the site as well as 15 firefighters from Flers, La Ferté-Macé and Domfront-en-Poiraie. A helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The road was closed during the intervention. An investigation has been opened.
