Yesterday Friday May 3, around 11 p.m., firefighters from South Corsica intervened in a bar located at 97 Napoleon courses in Ajaccio.

The alert was given by the establishment’s staff following a brawl which reportedly left six people injured. Firefighters dispatched three ambulances to the area. Quickly on the scene, the rescuers transferred the victims, who were in relative emergency, to the Miséricorde hospital center.

Baseball bats on scene

“They suffered from multiple bruises with suspected arm fractures. Baseball bats were used to strike. The fight must have been very violent and when we arrived there, there was still quite a lot of tension” , details it Corsica-du-Sud fire and rescue service.

The police were also on the scene.

The Ajaccio public prosecutor’s office indicates that an investigation has been opened “for violence that has been reported. Investigations will be carried out using video surveillance cameras. A neighborhood investigation should also allow us to find out more about the acts that were committed.”
