In 2013, Eleonore Frémont and Elodie Manquat fell in love with this place, the station cafe de Beautiran (Gironde), which they then kept alive for 11 years. Café, restaurant, Ruche qui dit oui, caterer… The duo knew how to revitalize this historic landmark: “We fell in love with this premises and everything was to be imagined. In 11 years, we had to adapt! » they declare.

After years in the kitchen and in service, the two acolytes finally decided to hand over and sell. “We feel tired,” they explain. After their successive maternity leaves, priorities changed for Eléonore and Elodie who chose to take more time for their respective family lives.

They therefore put the business up for sale: “We had quite a few requests, but many did not obtain financing,” they say.

Fanny and Alexandra take over the establishment

Fanny And Alexandra both have professional experience in catering. Long-time friends, they traveled together to Australia for several months and it was there that the idea of launching a project together was born. Project remained dormant for quite a long time, until they learned that the Café de la Gare was for sale.

This is the trigger for this new female duo: “It’s our first great professional project, the one that drains us so much, that grabs us by the guts. We fell in love with the place and it’s a chance to have a common project for our lives. We want to take it as far as possible,” they describe.

A tavern spirit, aperitif boards…

In reference to their Australian journey, the two buyers renamed the Café de la Gare “the Adélaïde Café”, but kept the DNA established by Eléonore and Elodie: café, restaurant, caterer and collection point for products from local producers will always be relevant. For La Ruche regulars who say yes, the service will even be maintained during the work.

Of course, Fanny and Alexandra plan to back up the offer and print their paw. “We are going to open in the evening and on weekends, offer aperitif boards, install sofas in a tavern spirit. There will also be a wine cellar. » relates Fanny. “We are going to keep the soul of the place by adding our personal touch” adds Alexandra.
