On Tuesday, October 1, in the early evening, the Israeli army reported an Iranian offensive against Israel, marked by ballistic missile fire. Sirens sounded across the country, prompting civilians to rush to bomb shelters. More than a hundred missiles were detected. Hours before the announcement, a senior US official warned of an imminent attack, saying the US was already involved in preparations to protect Israel. This information was confirmed by sources close to the White House and relayed by several news agencies.

The U.S. command responsible for the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia responded quickly, sending three squadrons of fighter jets to the region to bolster defenses. At the same time, the Israeli army, known as the IDF, said it was on high alert and ready to respond. According to Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for the Israeli army, the country’s armed forces are ready not only to defend themselves, but also to go on the offensive if necessary.

Tensions between the two countries have skyrocketed after several recent events. Israeli strikes against Hezbollah positions, supported by Iran, and the assassination of the leader of this organization, Hassan Nasrallah, have worsened the situation. These actions undoubtedly precipitated Tehran’s decision to respond with ballistic missiles. According to American intelligence estimates, some of these long-range missiles could reach Israel in less than 15 minutes.

Faced with this critical situation, the Israeli Home Front Command has issued strict instructions to the population. Residents in areas under direct threat of fire are urged to follow these guidelines to ensure their safety.
