Dominique Pélicot involved in a murder near Marseille?

While the trial of Dominique Pélicot, accused of having drugged and raped his ex-wife with the complicity of strangers for nearly ten years, is taking place at the Avignon court, other unresolved cases presenting a modus operandi similar suggest that he could be the author.

This is the case of the murder of Christine G. found strangled on May 2, 2000 in the real estate agency where she worked, in Berre-L’Etang near Marseille, reveals The Parisian.

A procedure

At the same time as his trial for the repeated rapes of his ex-wife, investigators reopenedold business involving female real estate agents in the Paris region. The first, Sophie N., was raped and killed in Paris, while the second, Marion, was the victim of an attempted rape in 1999 in Villeparisis (Seine-et-Marne).

Important similarities were noted between these two cases and Dominique Pélicot’s modus operandi: the use of a false name to organize an apartment visit, the gagging of the victim and the administration of ether to put him to sleep.

A partial confession

The man, now 71, denied the accusations in the first case, but recognized during his hearing the attempted rape, invoking an “impulse” to explain his action to investigators.

Faced with this similar modus operandi, the police decided to examine other cold cases involving assaulted female real estate agents, based on the SALVAC software (System for Analysis of Links of Violence Associated with Crimes).

The case of Christine B.

Among the five cases identified by the softwareshows that of Christine B., found dead, strangled in the real estate agency where she worked in Berre-l’Étang in May 2000.

Although the victim was not raped and no traces of ether were detected in her system, marks on her wrists suggest possible bondage. DNA samples were taken to try to determine a possible link with Dominique Pélicot.

Analyzes of these cases are currently underway.
