Saudi Aramco increased its official propane selling prices for October by $20 per tonne from the previous month. This was reported in a press release from the company, which also increased butane prices by $25 per ton compared to August. Aramco’s official October selling price for propane is now $625 per ton, while that for butane is $620 per ton.

Propane and butane are types of liquefied petroleum gases with different boiling points. LPG is commonly used as a fuel for vehicles, for heating, and as a raw material for various petrochemical products. In winter, demand for propane increases significantly due to its use to heat homes, which can cause prices to rise if supply struggles to keep up.
