A most unusual event took place on Saturday April 27, 2024 in New York, in the United States. Hundreds of people gathered in Manhattan’s Union Square Park to watch a man…swallow an entire tub of cheese balls. This ” performance “ was carried out by a 22-year-old who showed up with an orange mask on his head, reports ABC 7 New York .
Over 2,000 calories
Nicknamed “Cheeseball Man”, the latter had hung leaflets all over Manhattan in recent months in which it was written: “Come see me eat this whole pot of cheese balls on April 27th”. “I decided to do it because I thought New York City would need something like this”he explained to New York Post . “Cheese balls are funny and eating a whole tub of them is a difficult task, but not impossible”.
He explains that he was surprised by the enthusiasm generated by the event: “I didn’t expect there to be so many people”. Many spectators filmed the scene and broadcast it on social networks. One of the videos even exceeded ten million views. “Cheeseball Man” finally succeeded in his challenge, in front of a cheering crowd. He ate more than 2,000 calories of cheddar and corn flour. “There was a point where I was really going to throw up. And then people told me very loudly “Keep going!”. So I resisted”. The man indicated that he intended to repeat his gesture on April 27, 2025 with an even bigger pot.
