“I hated this dog” who had notably ruined, she says, a pheasant hunt because she was overexcited, then had killed chickens. The only solution, according to Kristi Noem: shoot him. “It wasn’t pleasant, but it had to be done.”
On Fow Nexs, the Republican stressed that the dog was “a working dog… not a puppy” and that she had been entrusted to her by a family who found her “much too aggressive”. According to her, the day the dog was shot, the animal “massacred livestock” belonging to their neighbors and “attacked” her.
“Once an animal like this starts killing… just because it likes to do so… it’s a very dangerous animal,” she said.

The governor even makes it a political fact, which would reveal her character: “I make difficult decisions”.
“The reason this is in the book is because it is full of difficult decisions I’ve had to make throughout my life. The point of this story is that most politicians run away from the truth, steal and hide so as not to have to make difficult decisions, I do neither,” she insisted.

The team of Democratic President Joe Biden, his rival, notably jumped at the opportunity, publishing a photo of the governor with Donald Trump. “Kristi Noem brags about shooting her puppy,” the team proclaimed on X.
