On this sunny May 1, when some 3,000 people hit the streets of for International Workers’ Day from 10:30 a.m., others were meeting at the same time at the edge of the Racing training ground.

A family audience

A very family-friendly audience of some 200 people attended today’s session, the only one open to the public after the session resumed the day before at the beginning of the afternoon.

This Thursday (10:30 a.m.), training on D-2 will be behind closed doors, just like the pre- session on Friday (10:30 a.m.).

Racing supporters were able to see at work all the capable players that Patrick Vieira has at his disposal. Lebo Mothiba, who is in the rehabilitation phase after his knee injury in December, even went out for a walk on the pitch.

The South African striker was able to witness the opposition on the big field at the end of the session. An eleven against eleven in which Habib Diarra did not participate.

The 20-year-old midfielder will be suspended on Saturday in for accumulating three yellow cards in ten matches. Patrick Vieira having enough players on hand, he did not need him for this last exercise.

Sebas towards tenure?

The Racing coach must first of all find who will replace one of the players whose name he first puts on a match sheet. Habib Diarra has in fact started in the Blues’ last 16 Ligue 1 matches (only Lucas Perrin does better, with 29 starts in a row, current series).

In view of the opposition at the end of the morning, the young Jérémy Sebas (2 goals in 11 appearances) is holding the rope to replace him and experience his first start in Ligue 1 in Le Havre.

But the last two sessions can reshuffle the cards, as seemed to be the case before the reception on Sunday (1-3). While Junior Mwanga’s rating seemed to have increased for a return to the eleven during the week, the ex-Bordelais in fact remained on the bench against the Aiglons.
