All good things must come to an end, and so does Nolan Roux’s career. The Northerner (he was born in Compiègne) has played in numerous clubs in France and leaves the memory of a formidable and appreciated scorer wherever he has gone. While he was without a club since last summer and the end of his contract with Berrichonne de Châteauroux, the 36-year-old striker announced in an Instagram post on Tuesday April 30 that he was retiring. “Thank you football… I gave… I vibrated… I liked you… and hated you. You were part of my life, I salute you and thank you”he wrote.

More than a hundred goals scored during his career

In response, many former teammates praised his career, including Pedro Rebocho who confided all the pleasure he had playing alongside him (at Guingamp), Ludovic Blas, Irvin Cardona, Romain Hamouma and even Ludovic Obraniak. During his fifteen years in professional football, Nolan Roux has never attempted an adventure abroad and has been content to pursue a career exclusively in France.
