A fire broke out in a building in the 2nd arrondissement during the night from Monday to Tuesday. A gas leak is believed to be the cause of the fire.
A fire killed three people in the middle of the night in Paris in an apartment building in the 2nd arrondissement in the center of the capital, we learned Le Figaro from a police Source. Firefighters intervened at 4:30 a.m. near 17 boulevard des Italians, on the 6th and 7th floor of the building.
According to initial information, the origin of the fire was a gas leak in an apartment on the 7th floor under the attic of the building. Three people were discovered dead in this apartment shortly before 8 a.m. One last person was injured.
The fire was extinguished in the morning and firefighters are currently evacuating the bodies of the victims. Paris Police Chief Laurent Nuñez arrived on site.
