A design with perfect finishes unchanged
As we have said, the MacBook Pro 14 M3 is far from revolutionary, especially from a design point of view – even if we note the introduction of a new color, Space Black. The aluminum chassis it sports is the same as that of MacBook Pros since the M1. The screen is surrounded by the same lines and borders. An unchanged, but effective design.
We stay on the screen, with a proven 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR panel. This has the same definition as the M2 model of the same size: 3,024 x 1964 pixels. The ProMotion function which allows you to increase the refresh rate up to 120 Hz is once again included. Finally, all HDR content is transcribed with perfect precision and the colorimetric accuracy is once again always at the top.
Improved performance at every level
The real evolution of the MacBook Pro 14 M3 is obviously found in the bowels of the device and is essentially based on the latest chip designed by Apple to date: the M3, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD. A configuration that allows the laptop to handle the most demanding tasks, both in the areas of content creation, graphic design and software development. All without any slowdown, of course, or overheating of the machine which remains silent.
But this model also stands out in gaming since the M3 chip supports ray tracing and the Apple firm has also added Dynamic Caching technology to optimize the use of graphics memory. We thus find ourselves with a powerful machine, capable of launching games, but also of lasting a long day on a single charge. Finally, the MacBook Pro 14 M3 does not stand out from a connectivity point of view since it has two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card reader, a headphone jack and a MagSafe 3 port.
