The General Directorate of Security (DGSN) and the National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF) organized, Monday at the Royal Police Institute (IRP) in Kenitra, a study day focused on the fight against forestry crimes.

Placed under the theme “the fight against crimes affecting the forestry domain”, this study day is part of the operationalization of the partnership agreement which was signed, on January 12, by the DGSN and ANEF, indicates a joint press release.

It is also about promoting cooperation in the areas of training and development of skills, methods and means of work by organizing training sessions for the benefit of both parties, as well as by exchanging expertise and experiences. on subjects of common interest, in addition to the prevention and fight against forest crimes through continuous coordination and the exchange of data in accordance with the legislation and laws in force.

To do this, adds the press release, the two parties are working, under this agreement, to unify and strengthen efforts and coordination concerning field operations linked to the prevention and fight against attacks on forest heritage and to wildlife in urban forest areas.

ANEF agents will also be supported and assisted by national security elements during legal procedures targeting stores selling forest products and wildlife, and carpentry and wood felling workshops, as well as warehouses of forest products, in addition to the exchange of data relating to forest crime and the people presumed involved, concludes the press release.
