According to information from Libération, Customs is demanding 215 billion FCFA from him. An offense that Khadim Ba contests, because his lawyers affirm that the investigation concerns the company Dermond Oil & Gas Africa, of which Khadim Ba is neither the legal representative, nor general manager, nor president.
They maintain that he is not an importer of petroleum products. It is the African Refining Company which is the official importer, and Khadim Ba is not involved in any customs infraction.

When signing the report, Khadim Ba expressed that his right to the assistance of a lawyer and to organize his defense had been violated. He contests the offenses and the conduct of the investigation, asserting his fundamental right to defend himself.
