An accident occurred on the RN88 this Sunday, April 28, around 1:50 p.m. A collision occurred at the northern entrance to Pertuis.
A violent shock
In circumstances which were not specified, but in pouring rain, a Citroën Berlingo traveling in the direction of Yssingeaux would have deviated from its trajectory. The vehicle collided head-on with a company Renault Kangoo, driven by a 47-year-old man.
The impact was violent and the driver of the first vehicle, a 25-year-old man, was treated and evacuated in absolute emergency to the Émile-Roux hospital in Puy-en-Velay. The forty-year-old was less seriously injured but was still evacuated to the emergency room.
The accident involved a third vehicle, a Renault Captur which was following the Kangoo. The Yssingeaux and Saint-Julien-Chapteuil firefighters intervened.
The gendarmes have carried out the findings and are currently regulating traffic with the Massif Central DIR. In the Le Puy/Saint-Étienne direction, traffic is diverted via Les Granges.
On the night of Saturday April 27 to Sunday April 28, another accident cost the life of a man on the RD588.
