It was time for regrets once again after Clermont Foot’s 1-1 draw against Red Star on Tuesday night at Montpied. Clermont only took two points out of a possible twelve at home and are in 15th place in the Ligue 2 standings after six games.
Sébastien Bichard, Clermont Foot coach : “I’m already very frustrated, frustrated and angry. I think that today we have to win again. These are not empty words.
It’s been six games and in the six games there are a lot of very good things.
There is a lot of desire, a lot of commitment. I have nothing to reproach on that. But at a given moment, we have the opportunities, we have to settle the match.

Mehdi Baaloudj, Clermont Foot striker : “There are things that we cannot be blamed for. The desire we put into it, the determination, these are things that cannot be taken away from us.
We have to keep that and add, as I told you, the few ingredients that we are missing to turn these draws around, these little things that annoy us, to be polite.”
A goal from Baaloudj and a disappointing draw in the end: what we learned from the Clermont Foot – Red Star match
Gregory Poirier, Red Star coach (about the situation of Clermont Foot): “Sometimes, you have to know how to bounce back. But I think it’s the start of the season and it’s too early to draw up a balance sheet. There’s not much missing either when you look at the match against Pau or today.
It’s up to them to go and do a little more.
There is also the arrival of the striker. Mehdi Baaloudj scored tonight, I think it does them good.”
