Dn the night of Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 September, at around 3:15 a.m., a resident of Fouquières-les-Lens set fire to the car of her daughter who lives a few hundred metres away. But how could such a situation happen?
During that same evening, the mother had welcomed friends. Once everyone had left, around 3am, she decided to go to her daughter’s house, with the aim of setting fire to her vehicle. When she saw the flames, the latter immediately called for help, who came to put out the fire.
An investigation begins to find out the origin of this fire and the victim’s neighbor offers valuable assistance to the police. A camera placed at his home filmed the scene. By viewing the images, the daughter formally recognizes her mother.
A conflict between mother and daughter
Arrested and taken into custody, the 61-year-old accused quickly admitted the facts. At the time of the fire, she was drunk. She explained that she had been in conflict with her daughter for several years. For these acts, she will be summoned soon before the judicial court.
It should be noted that on the same evening, a vegetation fire was extinguished near the car fire. The sixty-year-old denied this.
