Chelsea FC shared Almaty views on social networks (photo)

The sights of Almaty, which the players of the English football club apparently managed to visit before the match, were published on the team’s Instagram account.

Among them are the Ascension Cathedral in the Park named after 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, the Memorial of Glory, located there, and the Green Bazaar located nearby. And also the Ferris Wheel, the Almaty metro, the monument to Bauyrzhan Momyshuly and Konaev Street.

“Welcome to Kazakhstan!” – Kazakhs write in the comments to Chelsea FC posts, and some ask questions about where are the views from Medeu and Shymbulak.

A day earlier, a publication was also posted with a photo of the Chelsea players leaving for Almaty.

Let us remind you that these days the Almaty police have been transferred to an enhanced version of duty due to a high-profile sporting event.

Today, on the day of the match, from 18:30 to 00:00 traffic on the streets near the stadium is limited. Areas along Abai Avenue from Baitursynov Street to Mukanov are inaccessible; along Satpayev Street – all the way from Baitursynov Street to Bayzakov. Police patrols are posted on nearby streets.

Earlier, the Almaty akimat appealed to the townspeople because of the match between FC Astana and Chelsea. The department warned about scammers who could profit from the sale of tickets to a sporting event, and reported road closures and the organization of transfers.

The department also warned that upon entering the stadium, fans will be checked for a ticket and whether the name on the ticket matches, after which they will be subject to a personal search and a barcode reading to verify the authenticity of the ticket.

Let us add that earlier the head coach of Chelsea London, Enzo Maresca, spoke about the difficulties associated with the match against Astana in the Conference League.
