The of wine, a unique concept and alliance where artistic expression is combined with the tasting of exceptional wines. This is what the Grand Pic Saint-Loup Tourist Office proposed during the opening of the eponymous exhibition at the vineyards of the 3 châteaux.

Plastic artists welcomed by the president, Thierry Vacher: “I am delighted to see that this fabulous setting, which is our cellar, can bring together creation at the level of art and wine. Know-how to be enjoyed without moderation.”

Meeting between art and wine

A presentation, through paintings, to give the spotlight to recognized local artists. “They were inspired by the vintages and the history of the cooperative cellar to then create unique works, capturing the spirit, emotions and memories evoked in each wine”said Pam Naidoo. A curator who has managed to make this sensory approach both immersive and interactive. She continues: “Concretely, we taste the same wines that inspired the artists and we explore, through their paintings.”

In thanking the staff of the Tourist Office and all those who worked on setting up the event, Alain Barbe, president of the Grand Pic Saint-Loup community of communes, noted: “These thematic exhibitions around the senses have met with great success. The goddess and the art of wine blending, which bring us together here this evening, are no exception to the rule.”

A satisfaction shared by Martine Durand-Rambier, vice-president of the CCGPSL, delegate for culture.

Six artists, directly inspired by two emblematic vintages from the cellar, invite you to share this surprising journey: Claire Bonnet-Masimbert, Frédéric Bataille de Longprey, Claire Lecat, Linette Cajou, Erica Stefani and Nanou Navarro.

The evening ended with a delicious buffet and wines.

Exhibition until November 30 during cellar opening hours.
