A self-taught photographer for many years, he offers photo workshops in small groups or individually with the association Sorties Photo 65.
The association “Sorties Photo 65” organizes weekly workshops and monthly photo outings for beginners and non-beginners. Its manager is Olivier, a self-taught photographer who has been pursuing this passion for over 20 years. He is keen to pass on his expertise. He prefers street and landscape photography and has always been passionate about black and white. This does not prevent him from tackling other aspects of photography. An artist who listens to those who, like him, are passionate about images and to whom he will give all the tips to have fun: “I offer to teach the basics of photography, the choice of subject, light, composition, but also how to handle your camera in order to get out of automatic mode for more possibilities”.
The opportunity to also give tips and essential basics for taking creative photos such as long exposures, night photography, panning, high key and many other techniques: “During the outing, we will also cover various aspects such as the best times to practice your art, the mistakes to avoid and above all the essential rules to know: how to compose an image well, the rule of thirds for example, but also the reasons to sometimes detach yourself from it to make your subject more striking”.
Workshops and outings
Outings that take place over a half-day or a day on different themes and locations in the Hautes Pyrenees, this will allow you to continue to progress and share your passion during these outings.
The workshop is based on theory followed by practical application in the field with immediate commentary, camera in hand, for better assimilation, more lasting memorization and to become aware of the difficulties encountered.
After having managed to take the right shot, there are still tools to master in order to be fully satisfied with the image captured with your device and there, Olivier will be able to guide you by explaining how to develop your digital photo with image processing software such as Lightroom, etc. …
Amateur photographers, but especially passionate ones, are therefore invited to come and participate in the workshops and of course the field trips which provide an essential practical part to mastering this art which is more complex than it seems.
