Villefranche-de-Rouergue: Pilot Alban Alauze full throttle on his objectives

The 22-year-old biker from Villefranchois has had a string of good performances this season.

Without a sound, except for his 250 KTM, Alban Alauze is making his way in the world of enduro by stringing together good performances. The Villefranchois, who will blow out his 22 candles in November, proved it again this season and in particular during the three days of the Aveyronnaise classic. He thus ranked 32nd (6th among juniors) nine minutes behind the winner and Italian world champion Andrea Verona.

He also took 23rd place at the Grappe de Cyrano, in Périgord, all this with three ends of the candle – he doesn’t have a team –, a few loyal sponsors and Dominique, father-mechanic. Not to mention the encouragement of Karine, his mother, and the assistance of Emma. This doesn’t stop Alban from wanting to move forward in this world of two-wheelers. In 2023, and after eight races, he had climbed to the top step of the championship in National E2.

28th in the Aveyronnaise classic

The season had also ended with a 28th place in the Aveyronnaise classic. He is now competing in the Elite category and has prepared for two very competitive months in September and October because, after Chanac (Lozère), he is expected in Trémouilles (on September 22) then, on home soil, in Villefranche-de-Rouergue a week later and, finally, in Langeac for the final of the French championship, on October 27 and 28.

The man who rode a motocross bike at the age of 5 nevertheless manages to fit higher education into this busy schedule. A master’s student at the École supérieure des métiers des travaux publics, he alternates between and a company in .

A situation which complicates his passion for enduro a little more, but which does not prevent him from going full throttle on his objectives.
