Images of the singer, annoyed to discover that someone was trying to film under her dress while she performed, are making the rounds on social networks.
Shakira abruptly left the podium of a nightclub this weekend in Miami in the eastern United States. According to the images of the scene, published on social networks, it seems that the singer spotted a person in the audience who was taking advantage of her performance to film under her dress.
As reported by Billboard, the singer was at LIV, a VIP club, to promote her new title SolteraFor this, she surrounded herself with top model Winnie Harlow, influencer Lele Pons and Brazilian singer Anitta.
Moment of unease
Shakira took to the stage to dance to a snippet of the new song, which has no release date yet. As seen in footage captured by a spectator, she suddenly stopped and pulled at her dress, before making a “no” sign with both hands to someone in the audience.
She then raised her finger to her eye, as if to say “I saw you,” before placing her hand on her own crotch. After attempting to resume her dance, the singer Whenever, Wherever left the stage in annoyance.
The images sparked outrage on social media, with many messages of support for the 47-year-old singer. “People are disgusting,” one user fumed.
Back in the spotlight
Shakira unveiled a new album, the twelfth of her career, last March. This first album in seven years, entitled Women Are Not Lloringmarked the singer’s return after her highly publicized breakup with Spanish footballer Gérard Piqué.
The two stars split up in 2022after twelve years of relationship and two children. The following year, Shakira had caused a stir in the celebrity column with a title in collaboration with the Argentinian DJ Bizarrap entitled Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53in which she pilloried her ex accusing him (among other things) of infidelity.
