The Europe Day returns to the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville in Paris for an exclusive day to experience on Saturday May 4, 2024. Come and enjoy the free concerts of Pépite, freekind. and Love’n’Joy then take part in numerous activities, such as fun and sporting activities as well as debates. Here is the program!
Every year, Europe Day aims to promote citizen initiatives for living together and European construction. Celebrated throughout the European Union on May 9, this date commemorates the Schuman Declaration, considered the founding act of European construction. Also, every year, many events are organized around this event.
For several years now, the square of the Town Hall has Paris thus welcomes the Europe Day. For this 2024 edition, this Europe Day is not to be missed Saturday May 4, 2024. One month before the European elections, the event – organized by the representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament in France, as well as by the City of Paris – intends to celebrate attachment to the European project.
In the program ? A festive and cultural day mixing music, debates, activities and food trucks, all accessible to everyone. THE May 4a real European village will thus settle on the square of Paris City Hall with activities and festivities putting the European Union center stage.
Besides the associative villageParisians will also be able to discover free fun and sporting activities for families as well as food truckswith an à la carte catering offering highlighting Portuguese, Italian and Belgian cuisines.
There music will obviously be there with three free concerts, still in partnership with Europavox, available from 7 p.m. This year, the public will be able to (re)discover the French duo Nugget, composed of Thomas Darmon (vocals and keyboards) and Edouard Perrin (electric guitar). The group will take the opportunity to present “The Light Years“, its second album released at the end of January 2024. The Ukrainian group Love’n’Joy will also be there. Finally, the Europe Day 2024 in Paris will be the opportunity to be charmed by the music of freekind., formed by Croatian singer and pianist Sara Ester Gredelj and Slovenian drummer Nina Korošak Serčič.
