The trend of lost packages continues to gain ground.
In Lorrainethe Muse shopping center in Metz (Moselle) was one of the first places to offer a sale of lost packages, at the beginning of April 2024. Several customers shared their experience by revealing the contents of the products they had purchased “ blindly “.
Now, the concept is extending beyond shopping malls. Jennifer Pignanelli will indeed open her physical store, Miss’Tery Box, in the city center of HayangeWednesday April 17, 2024. She explains to us how the place will work.
“Banned” low-value products
Jennifer Pignanelli will thus offer products from Parisian suppliers, which will be sold 3.50 euros per 100 grams And 30 euros per kilo.
At the wholesaler with whom I work, I have three choices of packages: those from Eastern countries, of low quality, but also those from Spain and Germany, of better quality, as well as Amazon packages with more high-end products. I decided to ban packages from Eastern countries to focus on the other two ranges.
According to Jennifer Pignanelli, “this explains the price difference between my store and some other resellers, since it potentially offers higher quality packages.”
A modular concept depending on the trend
On the other hand, as for the lifespan of the store, it is difficult to determine at the moment. “I’ll open the store and we’ll see.” If I can hold on until the end of the year by only selling lost packages, that would be very good,” says the manager.
Jennifer Pignanelli thus foresees a possible slowdown in the trend and is already developing a plan B. “If the lost packages no longer work, I will change the concept to keep the store,” she specifies, without being able to reveal its nature to this stage.
