A suspect was arrested this Thursday morning at 6 a.m. at his home in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine) by police officers from the Paris research and intervention brigade (BRI) and their colleagues from the police criminal brigade Parisian judicial authorities, in the investigation into the stabbing murder of a 36-year-old woman, Alexandra, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, last Friday. Father of four children, this man was placed in police custody.

According to information fromNews17, the suspect from the Philippines is the victim’s housekeeper. His motivations remain to be determined.

The victim was found dead by her husband, at their home on Boulevard Voltaire, late Friday morning. The man told the police that he had no longer heard from his partner and that he had decided to go there to make sure everything was okay. Alexandra was lying in the wardrobe and the emergency services were unable to do anything to resuscitate her. The autopsy showed that she had suffered numerous stab wounds. Placed in police custody, the 40-year-old husband was released during the weekend.
