Pink concert in Bern cancelled: singer is ill

Big disappointment for all Pink fans: On Wednesday, July 3, the megastar (44) was supposed to perform at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern. Now the organizer Takk AB Entertainment has announced that the concert has been canceled. Due to illness and on medical advice, the event had to be canceled. Tickets can be returned to the place of purchase.

Due to the current tour planning, the concert cannot be postponed, the organizer writes. “We deeply regret the circumstances and thank you for your understanding. We wish Pink a quick and full recovery.”

As part of her “Summer Carnival” tour, she was supposed to play a concert in Switzerland. The last time the US pop-rock star played in the Swiss capital was in July 2010 – and spent “the funniest day” of her tour there, as she wrote on Twitter.

You can believe Pink. Because several fans met her in the city and on the Aare. The day before the concert, she cycled through Bern with her husband and two band members on a – of course – pink racing bike, as 20 minutes reported.

In Nägeligasse, she got advice on a new pair of pedals at a bike shop and also received tourist tips from the staff. “Like a normal tourist, she asked us about the bears in the bear park and about the Aare,” the shop owner told 20 minutes.

Anyone who rides a bike in the summer will sweat. Pink therefore decided to jump from a bridge into the Aare in the Matte district. At the concert she said to the audience: “I jumped into your river, that was the coolest thing I’ve ever done.” After cooling off, she treated herself to a beer in the Tramdepot restaurant. “She was fooling around and ordered a Buureröschti and a fish and shrimp wok,” said a waitress.
