Candidates admitted to the second round of the legislative elections must submit their applications before Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 6 p.m. by submitting a new form.
To be eligible for the second round, a candidate must have obtained in the first round a number of votes equal to at least 12.5% of the number of registered voters in the constituency. The second round will take place on July 7.

The Paris Court of Appeal will rule tomorrow at 2 p.m. on the request for prescription by Minister of Culture Rachida Dati in the Carlos Ghosn case. The mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris had been indicted for corruption and passive influence peddling by a person holding a public elective mandate. The former Minister of Justice is suspected of having received 900,000 euros from the Renault-Nissan subsidiary without receiving any real work in return.
The minister hopes that the statute of limitations of the facts which took place between 2010 and 2012 will be noted by the court of appeal. Since April 2023, Carlos Ghosn has been the subject of an international arrest warrant.
3 – Appearance of an environmental activist for her action against the painting Poppies by Claude Monet
The environmental activist from Riposte alimentaire who had stuck up a poster of the impressionist work Poppies by Claude Monet, exhibited at the Musée d’Orsay (Paris), will appear this Tuesday, July 2.

On June 1, the activist covered this painting with an adhesive poster symbolically representing a field of poppies in 2100, an apocalyptic vision in red tones. The 22-year-old activist is being prosecuted for damage committed in a meeting of cultural property exhibited by a person carrying out a mission of general interest.

Rapper Koba LaD and three of his friends will appear in court tomorrow early afternoon at the Paris Criminal Court for group violence. The cause: a fight that occurred on November 26, 2022, at the Parisian nightclub The Key.
During the incident, some waiters were punched and kicked, a young woman fell on pieces of glass and customers were beaten. The scene of chaos was broadcast on social networks, which made it possible to identify those who were behind it.
5 – The Good News of the day
The Tour de France has started with a bang for the French. The first stage of the competition, which started in Florence on Saturday, June 29, was won by Frenchman Romain Bardet. The thirty-year-old was able to wear the yellow jersey for the first time in his career after a masterful stage.
He was helped at the end of the stage by his teammate Frank Van Den Broek. Romain Bardet, the leader of the DDM-Firmenich PostNL team, is competing in his last Tour de France.
