PHOTO – Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron in Le Touquet for the legislative elections: their grandchildren by their side

While political figures are out this Sunday, June 30, to vote during the legislative elections, the presidential couple formed by Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have not escaped their duty as citizens. It was not in Paris, like the former head of state Nicolas Sarkozy, but in Le Touquet that the President of the Republic entered the voting booth today. And he was not alone once he came out: in the company of Brigitte Macron, Gabriel Attal’s mentor then took advantage of a crowd bath of about an hour to greet the Touquettois, before returning home to spend the rest of the day. However, nothing says if it was expected to be calm, because he was in the company of his grandchildren.

Indeed, after more than forty minutes of crowd bathing, Emmanuel Macron headed to the residence he occupies in Le Touquet to have lunch with his family with the First Lady and three of their grandchildren. The presidential couple can boast of having a large family: in total, seven grandchildren have expanded their tribe, born from the various marriages of Brigitte Macron’s children and her first husband. Shrunken this Sunday, the family still got together for a Sunday meal, before the President took the road to Paris, to learn the results of the elections this evening, at the Élysée.

These other children seen in the polling stations

If nothing says whether Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron were accompanied by their grandchildren when putting their ballot in the box, another personality did not hesitate to take her children with her when voting. Émilie Broussouloux, the wife of Thomas Hollande, son of François Hollande and Ségolène Royal, went to vote today, immortalizing the moment on her Instagram account. She showed her children, Jeanne, born in 2019 and Noé, born in 2021, with her in the voting booth. In the beautiful photo, you could see the legs of the two children sticking out of the curtain. The 33-year-old journalist also wrote in the caption: “(Almost) voted!
