The restyled Tesla Model Y begins its career in France with a launch edition based on the Long Autonomy and all-wheel drive version, but with imposed options and a prohibitive price. For the other variants, you will have to wait.
Notice to enthusiasts, the restyled Tesla Model Y is finally in the French catalog. But these enthusiasts must be the financially well-off type, since the brand has chosen to opt for an over-equipped and particularly expensive launch edition. The American manufacturer, which started production of the restyled Model Y in Germany, is unveiling the Launch Series which is in fact based on the Long Autonomy Integral Transmission version. Before restyling, it was already billed for €47,990. But it will cost €60,990 for the Launch Series.
This is explained (only partly) by the standard presence of 20-inch rims, black paint and tow hook which are options usually charged at a high price. However, this represents a significant additional cost compared to the model before the restyling. We will therefore have to wait for the other cheaper versions, hoping that there is not too much inflation compared to current prices, especially in a market that is much more competitive than before.
-Still no CarPlay
If the turn signal switches are still present on the restyled Model Y, smartphone connectivity is conspicuous by its absence. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are actually not present on the Model Y who will therefore not be entitled to applications such as Waze, to name but a few. However, there was a manipulation to be done on the old version to be entitled to CarPlay, but it is still a shame that the two mirroring of the smartphone are not present natively on this Model Y which aims to be ultra connected… :
